Red cabbage kohl. This recipe makes enough for two.


  • Mandolin


  • 1/4 a red cabbage (200g)
  • 1/2 a kohl rabbi (200g)
  • one lemon
  • 1/3t Himalayan rock salt
  • 2T flax seed oil

Finely sliced red cabbage, allowed to marinate for a while, and tastes great.


  • Wash all the ingredients as necessary.
  • Use just the slicing blade on the mandolin and finely slice the red cabbage into a mixing bowl.
  • Use the coarse cross blade to slice up the kohl rabbi.
  • Juice the lemon.
  • Sprinkle over the lemon juice, salt and oil.
  • Toss everything together and then allow to stand for a couple of hours.

Serving suggestion

  • Serve on its own or with a sauce or dressing of your choosing.


  • Clean the mandolin.
  • Recycle the waste
