Carob dressing

Soaking
- It makes blending easier if you can soak the dates for a couple of hours in the minimal amount of water. Then less water needs to be added for blending.
Ingredients
- 2 ripe bananas
- 3 medjool dates
- 1/4 C to 1/2 C water
- 1T carob powder
- 1/2 T cacao powder
- 1/2 T lucuma powder
- 1t maca powder
carob dressing
A rich subtle carob dressing to enhance and compliment the flavours of fresh fruit dishes.
- This is a great dressing to make if you are on the move and want to liven up your lunchtime fruit.
Method
- Skin the bananas.
- Remove the stones from the dates.
- Simply blend everything together starting with 1/4 C water. Add a little more water as necessary until a smooth mix is obtained.
Serve
- Goes well with many fruit mixes.
- Keeps for a few days in an airtight container.
- If you are travelling then make up some fruits with you in one container e.g. chopped mango and fresh blueberries, and your carob dressing in another. When you are ready for a treat, simply pour some of the dressing over the fruits.
Afterwards
- Clean the blender
- Recycle the waste
